Patrick McGoohan at 75 |

As a fan of The Prisoner and Dangerman, I would like to wish Mr McGoohan a happy 75th birthday, and long may he continue to entertain and intrigue audiences who want more from television programs than adverts and Big Brother. |

A very happy birthday to one who has probably given more pleasure to more people than any actor in the history of television! |

Thank you |

My sincerest best wishes on your 75th. I have followed your career from my youngest years. Consequently I have most of your accomplishments on VHS or DVD. Your integrity and openly honest views have always been most refreshing. It is sad that more people in your profession don't have the same principles. You have always stood apart and above the rest. I salute you. |

A Very Many Happy Returns on Your 75th! |
|
I am sure you are fed up with people thanking you for The Prisoner. Many like myself will, no doubt, have wished to thank you for creating a unique blend of action adventure and allegory, that used cunningly imagery and artful acting to enrapture and entertain, whilst also focusing our minds to consider questions - that may have no answers - but that still deserve careful consideration. |
|
However, I would also like to thank you for the additional people that I have met down the years who I only met through a mutual appreciation of the show. First and foremost of those, of course, being my wife Barbara (and we just had a child 5 months ago, who I guess also would not have been around if it was not for your acting ability), but also the many other fans of the show I have met who have been a joy to know and add to my company of friends. |
|
They are a very diverse bunch from journalists, PR people, lawyers, professional cartoonist, professional magician, and a professional stand-up comedian to bus drivers, machinists, a butcher and computer programmers. You have made a lot of us stop and think. More importantly, you have made an awful lot of us stop and think together. Thank You. |

I am afraid I am one of those who are finding it difficult to put their sentiments towards the great man in words. Could you put me down for a simple "Many Happy Returns"? |
